The Kånken backpack was created in 1978 to help prevent back problems in Swedish school children and quickly became the most popular backpack in preschools and nature schools across the country. Today, 45 years later, Kånken has straightened millions of backs around the world and has become one of Fjällräven's most popular products. This classic and practical backpack is perfect for school and work, as well as hiking and travel.

The main compartment opens wide with a zipper for easy access to the contents of the backpack. The Kanken backpack has two flat side pockets and a front zip pocket.

The material is durable but lightweight Vinylon F fabric that repels dirt and moisture and dries quickly.

The included soft foam seat pad is stored in the inside back pocket, where it prevents the contents of the backpack from poking your back. The pad is removable so you can use it when you need to rest and sit down.

The carrying system is simple but practical and consists of top handles and slim, adjustable shoulder straps, so you can carry it as a backpack or a handbag by the handles.
